About Us
Who we are, what we publish, how we are funded and the standards we follow when writing about money in India.
Last updated:
Rupee Ledger is an independent educational publication that explains personal finance topics for readers in India. We write about budgeting, banking, credit, saving, mutual funds, insurance and tax in plain language, so that readers can understand how financial products and rules work before they make their own decisions.
What we publish
We publish explainers: articles that describe how something works, what the trade-offs are, what can go wrong, and where to check the official rules. Each article lists its sources, and we link to primary sources such as the Reserve Bank of India, the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India and the Income Tax Department wherever possible.
What we do not do
- We do not give personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
- We do not publish stock tips, return predictions or "guaranteed" strategies.
- We do not ask readers for account numbers, PAN, Aadhaar, OTPs or passwords, and we never will.
If you need advice about your own situation, consider speaking to a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant, or the relevant institution directly.
