Corrections Policy

How to report an error and how we correct and disclose mistakes in our articles.

Last updated:

We try hard to be accurate, but mistakes happen and financial rules change. When we get something wrong, we fix it openly.

How to report an error

Use our contact page and choose "Correction request", or email financeblogg2026@gmail.com. Please include:

  • the link to the article;
  • the statement you believe is wrong or out of date;
  • a link to an official or primary source that supports the correction, if you have one.

We aim to review correction requests within [OWNER_TODO: number] working days.

How we correct articles

  • Factual errors: we correct the article and add a dated note at the end describing what was changed, for example: "Correction (date): An earlier version of this article stated X. It has been corrected to Y."
  • Outdated information: when a rule or rate changes, we update the article and show an "Updated" date at the top.
  • Minor changes: spelling, grammar, formatting or broken-link fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note.

We do not quietly delete articles to hide errors. If an article is removed for legal reasons or because it can no longer be kept accurate, we will say so where practical.

Disagreements

If we review a request and decide the article is accurate, we will reply to explain why where possible. We welcome further evidence.
